Eric & Melissa
Eric and Melissa have been involved in music ministry for over three decades. Equally at home in traditional and contemporary worship styles, they have served in Wesleyan, Nazarene, and United Methodist Churches in the capacity of worship leaders, choir directors, and church musicians. They helped establish worship teams for church plants in the Indianapolis area, and have experience as traveling musicians, songwriters, and in the recording studio.
Melissa, a native of Greenville, Ohio, holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree, and is the vocal music teacher at East Robertson High School. She taught choir and general music in the New Castle Community School System in Indiana prior to their move to Tennessee. Eric, originally from Anderson, Indiana, earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, as well as a Doctor of Arts degree, all of which are in music theory, composition, and voice performance. He is a retired professional firefighter for the City of Muncie, Indiana, and is currently chair of the Department of Music for Trevecca Nazarene University. Their daughter Kate, and son-in-law Brad, serve full-time in ministry in the St. Louis area—Kate as a worship pastor, and Brad as youth pastor, although both are musically gifted. They have one son, Judah, born in 2019.
The Wilsons have served at CPUMC since July, 2015, and absolutely adore their church family. It has been an honor and a blessing to serve alongside a congregation eager to be the hands and feet of Jesus, with the hope of doing so for many years to come.
